By creating an account or using DebtKiller, you agree to these terms. We've kept them short and readable.

What DebtKiller Is

DebtKiller is a personal debt tracking and payoff planning tool. It helps you visualize your debt payoff journey using proven methods like the debt snowball and avalanche strategies. All data you enter is self-reported — we do not verify or validate financial information.

What DebtKiller Is Not

  • We are NOT financial advisors
  • We do NOT provide financial, legal, or tax advice
  • We do NOT guarantee any specific financial outcomes
  • We do NOT connect to or access your bank accounts
  • We do NOT verify the accuracy of data you enter

Your Account

  • You must provide a valid email address and verify it to use DebtKiller
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
  • You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page
  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms

Shared Households

DebtKiller allows you to create or join a shared household where multiple users can view and manage debts together.

  • The household owner controls membership and can invite or remove members
  • Members with "admin" role can add, edit, and delete debts and log payments
  • Members with "viewer" role can see all household data but cannot modify it
  • When you join a household, your existing debts are moved into the shared space and become visible to all members
  • If you leave a household, you lose access to shared debts
  • By inviting someone to your household, you consent to sharing your debt information with them

Email Notifications

DebtKiller may send you email notifications including:

  • Payment due date reminders
  • Late payment alerts
  • Inactivity reminders
  • Household invitations

You can control email preferences from the Settings page or unsubscribe via the link in any reminder email.

Your Responsibilities

  • Keep your account credentials secure
  • Enter accurate information for your own planning purposes
  • Consult qualified professionals for financial advice
  • Use the service in good faith and not for any unlawful purpose

Our Responsibilities

  • Provide a functional debt tracking tool
  • Keep your data secure with encryption at rest
  • Not sell or share your personal information with third parties
  • Provide reasonable notice of significant changes to the service

DebtKiller is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Calculations, projections, and payoff timelines are estimates based on the information you provide and should not be relied upon for financial decisions. Interest calculations are approximations and may differ from your actual lender calculations. Always verify important financial calculations independently and consult a qualified financial professional before making major financial decisions.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DebtKiller and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to financial losses based on calculations or projections provided by the tool.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of DebtKiller after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
